Statement:

I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to MOVITE’s First Year Director position. In short, I feel like this is an opportunity to give something back to an organization that has given so much to me. When I was first asked to serve on a MOVITE committee, I looked at it as something more I “had to do”. Looking back, it was one of the most rewarding and educational experiences in my, then short, career. Since then, I have not passed up an opportunity to be involved and have helped in the planning of all of the meetings for events involving local ties. To date, that includes three meetings in Nebraska and a district meeting in Branson, MO.

The relationships I have enjoyed over the years as a result of MOVITE are among the high points of my career as an engineer. Every year I look forward to seeing some of the friends that I would have never met if it hadn’t been for being a MOVITE member. As a MATC mentor, I get to watch the students I have mentored over the years mature and become involved in their own careers thanks to MOVITE. This organization has been a true blessing for me and has allowed me to reach heights I would not have been able to reach without it. It is with true excitement that I would look forward to serving proudly in MOVITE over the next several years. It would be an honor to join those who have already served and set a continuing example for those who will serve in the future to uphold the traditions and excellence of this organization.
