I am excited to be nominated as a MOVITE 1 st Year Director candidate and to have the opportunity to serve my fellow ITE members. While serving as Chair of the 2002 Host Committee for the Annual Meeting and assisting on the Chapter Formation Committee for LOCATE, I had the opportunity to gain numerous friendships and develop an understanding of the MOVITE’s mission. The following is a summary of goals I envision for MOVITE:

  • Create involvement opportunities for young professionals in MOVITE.
  • Support the student chapters and develop mentoring opportunities.
  • Provide support and coordination assistance for each of the MOVITE Chapters.
  • Increase emphasis and participation in technical committees.
  • Encourage and increase involvement of transportation planners and designers.

If elected, I am committed to using my time and talents to contribute to the continued success of MOVITE.
