Each year MOVITE looks to recognize excellence in transportation by making awards to members whose contributions and achievements benefit our profession.  The nomination process and deadlines are detailed in the descriptions of each award below. Please take the time to nominate a MOVITE member or organization or to submit a paper.  Let’s recognize and celebrate our successes.

Best Chapter Award: Kansas City Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers 2008 officers were Paula Parke, President; Shannon Jeffries, Vice-President; Srini Veeramallu, Secretary-Treasurer; Lidiana Laboy, Member Director; Grant Bowerman, Affiliate Director; and Steve Worley, Past President.

Transportation Achievement Award for Operations: Operation Green Light Regional Signal Coordination Mid-America Regional Council (MARC)

Transportation Achievement Award for Facilities: First Diverging Diamond Interchange in the U.S. Missouri Department of Transportation
